Amidst the sunshine and shadows of life, these flowers from my garden smile at you with their "Joyful Faces." The lively colored, carefully embroidered silk quilt, a favorite of mine, was handcrafted in about 1910 by a special friend's grandmother. I love the colors, the caring that went into the making, and the symbolism of a nurturing and joyful way of life.
